§ 1
The "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge has been established by the Board of the Upper Silesian Branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK) in Katowice.
§ 2
The aim of establishing the "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge is to promote tourism in the Beskid Mountains and to encourage the exploration of their historical, cultural and natural values, especially in less known and less frequently visited areas, both within Poland and beyond its borders.
§ 3
The "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge may be earned by anyone, regardless of age or nationality.
§ 4
- The "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge is earned by climbing mountain peaks located in the Beskid Mountains within the territory of four countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine.
- Climbing peaks located in a country affected by ongoing military conflict is not required, and the authors of the project strongly advise against undertaking such activity.
- The badge is earned at one's own risk, during hiking trips in mountainous terrain, in accordance with applicable safety rules and regulations governing protected and private areas. Participants are required to follow the principles of safe and responsible mountain tourism.
§ 5
The badge has three levels (bronze, silver and gold).
- The bronze level is awarded after completing any 50 peaks listed in the official register.
- The silver level is awarded after completing a further 50 listed peaks, i.e. a total of 100 peaks.
- The gold level is awarded after completing all 150 peaks listed in the register, subject to the provisions of § 4.
§ 6
Peaks completed prior to the first edition of this publication, i.e. before 1 March 2026, may be included towards the badge.
§ 7
There is no time limit for completing the badge.
§ 8
The order in which the peaks are completed is optional.
§ 9
The sole basis for verification is the official "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge booklet, maintained by the participant and containing confirmation of completion of all required peaks.
Proof of completion may include:
- a stamp from the summit or its immediate vicinity,
- a photograph of the participant taken on the summit, inserted into the booklet,
- confirmation (signature or stamp) by a PTTK mountain tourism leader or a licensed mountain guide, together with the number of a valid ID card or licence,
- electronic verification is permitted. A participant who has purchased the official badge booklet may submit photographic documentation confirming the completion of peaks to the e-mail address indicated by the verification committee. Detailed rules for electronic verification, including required documentation, are published on the project website: www.beskidzkiwloczykij.pl
The participant's full name and the dates of completion of individual peaks must be entered in the booklet.
§ 10
- After collecting all required confirmations, the badge booklet is submitted for verification at the headquarters of the Upper Silesian Branch of PTTK in Katowice.
- The participant covers the cost of a possible badge purchase as well as postal costs related to verification.
- Participants who complete any level of the badge may purchase a unique "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge.
§ 11
Upon successful verification, a stamp confirming the awarding of the given badge level is placed in the designated area of the booklet, together with the signature of a member of the verification committee.
§ 12
A verified booklet serves as an official certificate of the awarded badge level and entitles the holder to purchase and wear the badge.
§ 13
The badge may be purchased at the headquarters of the Upper Silesian Branch of PTTK in Katowice upon presentation of a verified booklet or, in the case of electronic verification, via postal delivery.
§ 14
By applying for the badge, the participant consents to the processing of personal data required for the purpose of badge verification, in accordance with applicable regulations.
§ 15
Any doubts arising from the interpretation of these regulations shall be resolved by the verification committee of the badge.
§ 16
These regulations were adopted by resolution of the Board of the Upper Silesian Branch of PTTK in Katowice on 4 December 2025 and enter into force on that date.
§ 17
The right to interpret these regulations in matters not expressly covered herein rests with the verification committee, after consultation with the authors of the project.
§ 18
The "BESKIDZKI WŁÓCZYKIJ" badge booklet constitutes a separate publication. Its distribution is conducted by the publisher and other cooperating entities, in accordance with general principles.
